Robert Irwin is an Industrial Designer with over 18 years of professional experience across multiple industries and functions. He is a passionate sustainability champion with a depth of knowledge in LCA and biomimicry practices. He is a frequent blogger, university lecturer and has been a sitting juror for IDSA’s, IDEA competition. 

 

He has extensive experience as a design leader in sustainability, technology, new product development, user-centered research, UX, concept development, prototyping, CMF, and class-A surfacing. He has advised clients in furniture, experiential exhibits, architecture, soft goods, product life cycle analysis, renewables, landscape design, tiny homes, and CPG. Rob currently serves as Chief Designer for his design consultancy, irwindesigned which has a portfolio of clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 organizations.

 

Rob is the Founder for, LearnIndustrialDesign.com where on-demand classes on industrial design are taught by industrial designers. He also is the host of the podcast, Designing in the Wild where he explores the many facets of design and innovation with experts from around the globe.
